This is an experimental website - all of them are. Drop me a line with your hints for improvement.

We humans are all a part of the Living Web. The dimensions of TheLivingWeb may extend to infinity in time and space. But we have our greatest personal participation here and now.

Humans are in the process of digesting the Connectivity Revolution. We are connected to more than 6,500,000,000 other people we share our planet with.

These are some thoughts I have about TheLivingWeb.

e-mail

It seems to me that most e-mail on the world wide web
is like a post card written in haste by a partially literate
friend from another country - and delivered over the phone
so you get it fast, like a telegram, and about as cryptic.

spam

I like the canned meat, Spam - but I don't like the
junk mail I get on the www. However, I won't
"unsubscribe" because I might get off the first
list but my address will be sold to other lists. By
unsubscribing I have only verified that there is a
living, breathing, thinking decision maker at that place.

the world wide web

The flurry is beginning to subside. A magazine
article mentioned that 30,000,000 Americans who
once were on the web now seldom sign on. And in
some cases are disconnected entirely.

Do we still want human contact? Absolutely! The written
word supplies only a poor, one-dimensional, human
touch. Particularly when any one written message
can be replaced with another in an instantaneous
browser click - and as quickly forgotten.

TheLivingWeb

This is something else again. Not just the world
wide web - but the living web that humans and all life are a
part of. We are surrounded by an environment that
cradles and enables our existance.

Hence the name of this website.

If you click on my first name
